Shelley Fields has served on The Living Word Outdoor Drama Board of Trustees for the past three years. She and her family have been involved at The Living Word for the past fifteen years. Shelley often plays various roles in the drama, sews costumes, and occasionally helps in the concession stand. She was raised in Cambridge, Ohio, and graduated from John Glenn High School in New Concord. Mrs. Fields received a Master’s Degree in Education from Muskingum College with certifications in Elementary, Learning Disabled and Sever Behavior handicapped, Intervention Specialist for the Gifted and Talented, General Science, and Physical Education. She currently is a Physical Education Teacher at Larry Miller Intermediate School. Shelley is married to Herb, who plays a Roman Centurion in The Living Word and helps with the horses during performance nights. They have five children who also play various roles in Ohio’s Only Outdoor Passion Play – Micaela (21), who is the youngest Living Word Board of Trustee member, Danae (18), James (13), who is also starting to assist with the technical aspect of the drama, Kara (11), and Grace (10). Herb and Shelley also have another family member who participates in drama – Snowflake the donkey, who made her debut during the 2016 season. Shelly’s hobbies include watching children’s activities, reading, Christian concerts, building/sewing things, horseback riding, hiking, gardening, and snow skiing. The Fields family attends VGF Church in Newark, Ohio.
