Heath A. Dawson is the Executive Director of The Living Word Outdoor Drama where he oversees operations, brand growth and recognition, public relations, advertising, marketing, ticket sales, grant writing, community relations, donations, special events, employee fulfillment and development, and the overall spiritual health of the organization. He joined The Living Word in April of 2015. Heath previously spent over twelve years in the newspaper industry, including a nine and one-half year stint as Sports Editor at The Daily Jeffersonian in Cambridge, Ohio. He graduated from Harding University in Searcy, AR with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Minors in Advertising and Print Journalism. He also attended Ohio Valley University in Parkersburg, W.Va., for two years. His areas of expertise include writing, leadership, networking, marketing, budgeting, planning, scheduling, brand growth and development, and getting things done quickly. He is also a member of the Stop 9 Church of Christ in Byesville, Ohio, and the Cambridge YMCA. The 1991 graduate of Meadowbrook High School enjoys playing guitar, going to concerts, working out, reading John Grisham novels, riding his Harley Davidson, camping, volleyball, and crime shows on Investigative Discovery. He lives in Byesville with his chocolate lab Phoenix. His three biggest accomplishments in life are graduating college, covering Super Bowl XL in Detroit, and writing a novel titled The Briefcase. Heath also has a Spoken Word ministry and travels to various Churches speaking and performing his original Spoken Word poetry.
