Don Sigman has served on The Living Word Outdoor Drama Board of Trustees for the past two years and is the Treasurer. He also can be found volunteering with his wife Jolene on performance nights. Don is a retired vehicle development engineer from the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. His specialty was vehicle dynamics. Before joining Ford in 1973, he was a research physicist at NASA, working on methods for controlling nuclear fusion. Mr. Sigman, a 1957 graduate of Cambridge High School and 1964 graduate of THE Ohio State University where he earned a PhD in Physics, has been active in Churches in Berea, Ohio, Dearborn, Michigan, Tellico Village, Tennessee, and Cambridge. His Church leadership positions have been mostly related to stewardship, finance, building maintenance and youth counseling. He has belonged to Kiwanis clubs in Berea where he directed the Little League baseball program; Tellico Village where he was a charter member and Club President; and Cambridge where he serves as Club Secretary, Ohio District Lt. Governor, and on the Cambridge Kiwanis Foundation. Don has been married to Jolene Crossen Sigman for fifty-five years and they have two children – Gwendolyn Norwood and Steven Sigman – and four grandchildren. They returned to Cambridge in 2004 permanently after a 40-year absence. Don has a love for music and is a current member of the Cambridge Band. He also enjoys reading, golf, home projects and genealogy. Don and Jolene are members of First United Methodist Church in Cambridge.
